From Then Til Now: The Remixes, Vol. 1

Christopher Michael Stevens pulls in an all-star line-up of musicians and producers for "From Then Til Now: The Remixes, Vol. 1"! 

The Philadelphia-based producer, trumpeter and composer follows up his score for "Becoming American: Philadelphia's Story", with a return look at his debut Spring Garden Records release, pulling in Philly heavyweights from practically every genre.  From jazz reinterpretations, to hard rock, downtempo and old school electronica, this remix package showcases how versatile Stevens' writing can be in another producer's hands.  

James Poyser (The Roots) and Muhsinah take on "Samesies", giving the original track a new bounce and vocals, while ManMan (John Legend / Snoop Dogg / Becky G) turns Stevens' "In the Heavens" into a head bobbing hiphop workout.  Electronic remixes from RVLVR (NOREMIXES) and Starkey (Deadbeats / Ninja Tune) disect the original tracks' vocals from Shaylah J. Stevens and glitch things out to 100.  Spring Garden Records' own, ManhattanSideProject, chugs "Daylight" into rock territory, while Maxfield Gast, David Mrakpor and Ozi Jones x LFJ round out the diverse package of remixes.  Absolutely epic.
