Applications Open Through June 15th For Our 2026-2027 Artist-in-Residence

We are very excited to announce that applications are now open for the Spring Garden Records / CCP Music Department 2026-2027 Artist-in-Residence!  This will be the 5th year of the residency.  If you're a musician, producer or artist who wants to share your career experiences with CCP students and the Philadelphia music community, then this residency is for you!  Here are all of the details and the link to the application.

Program features:

  • Participate in a combination of masterclasses, guest lectures, performances and panel discussions—a minimum of eight activities throughout the residence (more are encouraged)

  • Create an EP or full-length album release for Spring Garden Records at the College’s studio

  • Allow students to join you in the studio as you work on your music release

Details and Requirements

The residence will start July 1, 2026, and end June 30, 2027. Applications are due June 15, 2026.

Candidates will present a short proposal as part of the application. The proposal must include the suggested release type and scope for your project on Spring Garden Records, as well as examples of the types of AIR activities that you believe would be best suited for your residence and for student learning.

These events can focus on studio or touring stories to share with a studio production or music business class, a specific type of musical performance or masterclass that would be beneficial for the Philadelphia music community, and other lessons that will benefit students as they prepare for their careers.

You will be compensated $10,000 for the residence, and this figure includes any airfare, hotel or related expenses involving your on-campus residence activities.
